2022: Marion County Children's Alliance
In December 2022 our ZTA chapter raised funds to adopt one child from the Marion County Children's Alliance. She was one happy little girl on Christmas morning!
2021: Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System Child Sponsorship ~ Marion County
In December 2021 our ZTA chapter raised funds to adopt one child from FDLRS in Marion County. We were able to purchase everything on his Wish List and more!
2020: Salvation Army Angel Tree Adoption ~ Lake County
In December 2020 our ZTA chapter raised funds to adopt one Salvation Army Angel from Lake County. We adopted Hannah, a 6 year old girl that asked Santa for Barbie and Barbie accessories, a Baby Alive doll, and some clothes. We hope she had a wonderful Christmas!
2019: Lake County Children Sponsorship
In December 2019 our ZTA chapter raised funds to sponsor two needy children from Lake County. Each child received a variety of wrapped Christmas gifts including clothes, games, and school supplies.
2019: Operation Shoebox
Together, our ZTA Chapter collected a large box of toiletry donations at our 2019 ZTA Membership Kick-Off Event for Operation Shoebox - to support our troops around the world.
2018: Marion County Children Sponsorship
In December 2018 our ZTA Chapter raised funds to sponsor two needy children from Marion County. Each child received a kick ball, school supplies, a stocking filled with goodies, a pair of jeans, a long sleeve shirt, PJ's, a fleece sweat shirt, a bat and ball, a book, and 3 personal toys:
- Jayden: black panther action figure, black panther glove, checkers game
- Sean: legos, race car track, magnetic building pieces
2017: Kid's Central, Inc.
In December 2017 the Central Florida Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha "adopted" a 14 year old child from Kid's Central, Inc., a Nonprofit organization that serves relatives raising relatives (often grandparents or great grandparents raising children) outside of the foster care system in 5 counties including Lake, Sumter, and Marion. The Christmas assistance program provides a wish list of items that are needed by the children. Together, our ZTA Chapter collected enough money to purchase our "adopted" teenager clothes, books, games, CD's, nail polish, dog toys, ornaments, and gift cards.
